Frequently Asked Questions
General Questions
Our Service is two parts:
  • Part 1: Taste-profile detection. This service introduces an innovative AI system named QBrain that understands your taste profile for your dream home. All you need to do is answer a series of visual questionnaires, and the system will make personalized home design recommendations based on your responses.
  • Part 2: House plan customization. This is a customization software that helps you customize your dream home. Currently we are only providing architectural designs for ADUs, and we plan to incorporate a wider variety of house types by September 2023.
Our platform uniquely blends AI technology and customization tools to create personalized home designs that truly reflect your preferences. We save you time, effort, and costs associated with traditional home design processes. Plus, our offerings—from comprehensive PDF plans to interactive Revit files—cater to various needs and budgets, providing superior value for our users.
On the home page, click on the "Start” button to begin the “taste-profile detection” questionnaire, or click on “Customize” to start our “house plan customization” service.
The visual questionnaire is a unique method we use to understand your design preferences for your dream home. You'll be shown a series of house images, and you rate them according to your liking. Your responses will help the QBrain system to understand your taste profile better.
Yes, the system maintains your session. You can return to the website and pick up right where you left off.
You can use the chat box that is available on the bottom right corner of the screen to chat with us. If you need further assistance, you can submit an inquiry through the "Contact Us" page or by emailing us at info@delta-flow.io. We are always happy to assist you.
With our architectural drawings, you can visualize the design, then discuss it with a contractor for an initial estimate. Before construction, you'll need to engage with a structural engineer to create necessary structural drawings. Post-construction, these drawings can assist in marketing if you're selling or renting.
House design & Construction
BIM, or Building Information Modeling, is a 3D model-based process that provides insights for architecture, engineering, and construction professionals to more efficiently plan, design, construct, and manage buildings. Revit files can serve as BIM files, enabling effective collaboration and decision-making throughout the project lifecycle.
Revit is a Building Information Modeling (BIM) software developed by Autodesk, used for drafting, 3D modeling, and architectural design. It allows professionals to design structures in a virtual environment, creating an accurate, detailed representation that facilitates planning, construction, and management.
An ADU, or Accessory Dwelling Unit, is a secondary housing unit on a single-family residential lot. They can be used as rental units, space for relatives or elderly parents, or even for home offices. Sizes vary widely, but typically range from 200 to 1,200 square feet, and they can be detached structures or built as part of an existing house.
Taste-profile detection
When presented with an image of a house during the questionnaire, you will be asked to rate the image based on how well it aligns with your preferences. Your ratings guide the QBrain system in making personalized recommendations. You have three options for your rating of each image: positive, negative, and neutral. You must rate every image in a round to proceed to the next round. Don’t overthink it, and choose the first rating that comes to mind!
There are four locations, which are defined as follows:
  • Exterior: features that can be seen from the outside, such as architectural style, backyard features (e.g., pool, pergola), size of the lot, number of stories, and more.
  • Architectural Style & Roof: This also includes exterior architectural style and emphasizes roof design (e.g., gabled, shingles, spanish tiles).
  • Interior: sizes of rooms, openness of the floor plan, height of ceiling, natural light, size of the windows, and more.
  • Kitchen: size of kitchen, cabinet type, openness to living room, in-kitchen eating area, etc.
After you have completed the questionnaire, the QBrain system will automatically process your ratings and generate a list of home design recommendations that align with your taste profile.
Yes, you have the option to save your results. You will receive a unique link which allows you to view your results at any time.
Absolutely! You can provide ratings for each recommendation, on a 1-10 scale. These ratings are used to further refine the QBrain system's understanding of your taste profile and they help us calibrate our future recommendations.
Yes, you can start over at any time by clicking on the "Start Over" button on the home page.
House plan customization
To start the house customization process, simply navigate to the 'Customization' page. If it's your first time, the system will guide you through the process step by step. If you've already started, you can pick up right where you left off.
Each step in the customization process represents a decision point for a particular aspect of your project (for example, exterior finish, house size, and whether you prefer a kitchen island). You'll be presented with different options to choose from at each step.
The Customization Results page showcases the outcome of your project customization. You can view final images and details of your customized project, and even have the option to purchase the final design in PDF or BIM format.
Purchasing a product
Yes, after completing the customization, you can purchase the final project plans. These can be in PDF or BIM format. The system will handle your transaction securely through Stripe.
Our PDF Plan provides a complete set of architectural blueprints, including floor plans and elevations, useful for understanding the design and obtaining building permits. The Revit File is a 3D model of the design. It allows interactive exploration and modification of the design using Autodesk Revit software, making it a powerful tool for design customization. Please note that the Autodesk Revit software or a compatible viewer is required to use this file.
Whether you need a Revit file or a PDF depends on your plans for the design. The PDF is sufficient for visualizing the design, discussing it with a contractor, and applying for building permits. However, if you wish to modify the design in detail, explore it interactively in a 3D environment, or collaborate effectively with architecture professionals, the Revit file would be more useful.
If you require CAD drawings, we can certainly provide them upon request. Just send us an email at info@delta-flow.io with the name of the PDF file you purchased. We will deliver your CAD drawing within 3 business days. We recommend discussing your needs with your contractor or architect to ensure you have the appropriate documentation for your project.
Once the payment is done successfully, you will be redirected to the page that contains the download links for your purchased files. In addition, the file download links will be emailed to your provided email address for you to download the purchased files at any time in the future.
If the payment process is canceled or unsuccessful, you will be redirected to a page that informs you about the cancellation. If this happens, please wait for a few moments then try again.
Our product is up to 12 times less costly than competitors. The exact amount for you will be determined at checkout. We are able to provide the same high-quality products with a cost-effective method via automating the home-design process.
